Frequently Asked Questions

What is the CTSL App?

CTSL (Cell Tower Site Locator) is a simple, powerful tool for technicians, engineers, and managers to locate tower sites by Site ID. It lets you import a CSV file of tower information, quickly search by Site ID, view latitude and longitude, and open locations directly in Apple Maps or Google Maps.

What kind of file do I need to use with CTSL?

CTSL reads data from a CSV (Comma Separated Values) file that contains three columns: Site ID, Latitude, and Longitude. The first row of your file must include these exact labels.

How do I load my CSV file into the app?

Save your .csv file to iCloud Drive or the Files app on your iPhone. Open CTSL, tap “Import CSV File,” and select your file — CTSL will automatically load all the Site IDs.

How do I open a site in Apple Maps or Google Maps?

After selecting a Site ID, you’ll see its Latitude and Longitude displayed below. Tap “Open in Apple Maps” or “Open in Google Maps” — the app will launch your chosen map app with the coordinates already entered.
