๐ How to Set Up Your Site List for the CTSL App
The CTSL (Cell Tower Site Locator) app uses a simple CSV file to load your custom list of tower sites.
Follow these steps to create, save, and import your site list from your iPhone.
๐งพ Step 1: Create Your Excel File
Open Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets.
In the first row, create three columns with these exact labels:
Site ID
Latitude
Longitude
Fill in your site information underneath.
Example table ๐
Site ID Latitude Longitude
TX-001 32.7767,-96.7970
TX-002 30.2672,-97.7431
๐พ Step 2: Save as a CSV File
In Excel, click File โ Save As.
Select the format CSV (Comma delimited) (*.csv).
Name your file (for example
Sites.csv
).Save it to a location you can reach on your iPhone โ like iCloud Drive, Files App, or email it to yourself.
๐ฑ Step 3: Load Your CSV into CTSL
Open the CTSL App on your iPhone.
Tap โImport CSV Fileโ (or โLoad Site Listโ, depending on your version).
Locate and select your Sites.csv file from Files or iCloud Drive.
The app will automatically load your list and display all Site IDs in the dropdown menu.
โจ Youโre ready to go!
Search for any Site ID to see its latitude and longitude, then tap to open the location in Apple Maps or Google Maps.
๐ก Tips & Troubleshooting
โ Column names must be exactly:
Site ID
,Latitude
,Longitude
.๐ซ Avoid blank rows or extra columns.
๐ Latitude and longitude must be numeric values (positive or negative).
๐ If you update your CSV, simply re-import it to refresh your list.
