๐Ÿ“˜ How to Set Up Your Site List for the CTSL App

The CTSL (Cell Tower Site Locator) app uses a simple CSV file to load your custom list of tower sites.
Follow these steps to create, save, and import your site list from your iPhone.

๐Ÿงพ Step 1: Create Your Excel File

  1. Open Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets.

  2. In the first row, create three columns with these exact labels:

    • Site ID

    • Latitude

    • Longitude

  3. Fill in your site information underneath.

Example table ๐Ÿ‘‡

Site ID Latitude Longitude

TX-001 32.7767,-96.7970

TX-002 30.2672,-97.7431

๐Ÿ’พ Step 2: Save as a CSV File

  1. In Excel, click File โ†’ Save As.

  2. Select the format CSV (Comma delimited) (*.csv).

  3. Name your file (for example Sites.csv).

  4. Save it to a location you can reach on your iPhone โ€” like iCloud Drive, Files App, or email it to yourself.

๐Ÿ“ฑ Step 3: Load Your CSV into CTSL

  1. Open the CTSL App on your iPhone.

  2. Tap โ€œImport CSV Fileโ€ (or โ€œLoad Site Listโ€, depending on your version).

  3. Locate and select your Sites.csv file from Files or iCloud Drive.

  4. The app will automatically load your list and display all Site IDs in the dropdown menu.

โœจ Youโ€™re ready to go!
Search for any Site ID to see its latitude and longitude, then tap to open the location in Apple Maps or Google Maps.

  • ๐Ÿšซ Avoid blank rows or extra columns.

  • ๐Ÿ“ Latitude and longitude must be numeric values (positive or negative).

  • ๐Ÿ” If you update your CSV, simply re-import it to refresh your list.
